French Transgender Woman Hopes to Run for President

Incredibly exciting — what a wonderful platform.  This is a great example of how the U.S. often claims to be the most advanced, on-top country in the world, and yet dozens and dozens of other countries are more progressive and have leaders (and potential leaders) who are more interested in treating *all* people with respect.  I love my country, but I often wish the U.S. would spend less time stroking its ego and more time being humble enough to learn from other places.
